The Blind Date

There’s nothing like going on a date with someone you never met before in your life…Wait, Seriously what am I thinking?! That must be very nerve wrecking for someone to go on a date with someone you never met or let alone seen before. The crazy thing is that according to these online dating sites, it’s not rare and it happens all the time. Apparently a lot of current couples actually used this method of dating. I thought to myself, would I ever go on a blind date? Most likely not, well you can never say never, it would probably depend on the circumstances and situation. After reading this article, hopefully you learn more about Blind Dating and use some of my tips if you ever decide to test the waters.

Blind dates were never something out of the ordinary, people do this all the time. To some people it’s actually something very enjoyable- you meet new people and maybe your future husband/wife. There are many ways to approach this. You can be either optimistic or pessimistic. One thing is for sure, it shows how open minded you are as an individual. It also shows that you are definitely a risk taker and everyone loves an open minded/risk taker.

So if you plan on going on a blind date soon, be sure to make wise decisions on where to go, and what to do. Keep your expectations realistic, don’t automatically think you will meet the person of your dreams. There is a possibility that he or she is not going to be your type so be prepare for the worst case scenario. To make it easier for yourself, go into the date meeting someone new your main priority, not meeting your bf/gf. Make the date very simple, go out for drinks or coffee. Make sure you stay away from a fancy restaurant and keep the place low key. Going somewhere exclusive and fancy puts too much pressure on the date. You are going to feel forced to have a good time especially if you are spending a lot of money on someone you don’t even know. On the safe side, tell your friends where you will be. I would hate to see you on the evening news- you know how crazy people are nowadays!

Hey I don’t hate on people who do it. It doesn’t hurt to try it. I mean what’s the worse that can happen besides it possibly being the worst date in your life?  If it’s not what you imagined, like Jay-Z said, on to the next one. But always remember there is someone out there for everybody. Again, you might find that special someone on your next blind date. You Never Know.

One Response to The Blind Date

  1. Yeah! You’re right..blind date is such a kind of nerve breaking situation. Specially when you expect too much about that particular person. But by the time you decided to meet each other, you will realize that that particular person is very much opposite on your perception. Gosh! I really don’t know what to do. But anyways, I guess blind date is just giving a try. So, there’s no harm on it.
